Today I and my grandmother attended the tax day tea party in Duncan Oklahoma, my grandmother and grandfather started this company.  Duncan is a town of maybe 25,000 and it had quite a turnout.  It started at 11 and went on until 2.  People were coming and going but there seemed to be a constant 100 people there.  There was a good mix of Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians and Independents there and all were upset about the same thing, big government, government spending and the threat to capitalism.  This isn't about one party vs. another, it is simply about what is happening to our country, and the people that understand it are ticked.

We took the opportunity to proclaim our love of this great country and the ideals and principles that made it great by handing out tokens that can be used in our local car wash to the people that decided to show their support for what made this country great, and hopefully remind people who may have forgotten.

It was good fun, got to meet some interesting people who at least on this subject, and maybe more, share the same views that we do.  We would like to thank the people who set it up.

        

We are big college football fans around here, employees seem to be divided between OU and OKST with a few being Texas fans.  I myself am unashamedly an OU fan but even I have been disturbed by the recent snafu in College Footballs BCS system.  You would think I would be riding high on the fact that OU moved into the Big XII Championship game, I am happy but disturbed nonetheless.

You see I have a major problem with the way the voters in the human polls behaved the last 2 weeks.  How can OU have a 40+ point advantage in the Coaches Poll and a 20+ point advantage in the Harris poll in week 13 and week 14 OU win on the road against the #12 team in the country by 20 points and Texas win at home against a 4-7 team and the voters completely change their mind with OU being ahead in the Coaches poll by 1 and Texas being ahead in the Harris poll by 6.  That swing shows nothing but a desire to create a matchup that a voter or voters feels they want to see or an agenda to move 1 team ahead of another. 

If you have a vote in any poll your mindset cannot change week to week.  You have to ask yourself before you cast your ballot am I voting on agenda or not, if the answer is agenda you should seriously consider removing yourself from the voting process as you are not capable of making unbiased decisions. 

Having said that, this is yet another year where a playoff system shows it is the best way to determine the National Champion of College Football.  Here is my suggestion leave the BCS rankings the way they are, take the top 8 BCS teams and let them play in the current BCS bowl games as a first round.  Then you have 1 more game for 4 of the teams and 2 more games for 2 of the teams.  Everyone will say that is too many games for a college team to play, well drop 1 pre-season game from everyones roster and make every conferance play a conferance championship or no conferance championship for anyone.  You will still be able to have the rest of your bowl games for teams that qualify, they can still pick and choose the best "traveling crowd" and the 4 major bowls need to realize that you are still going to get the same amount of travellers for a bowl game as you would with a playoff game. 

Please give us what every other sport already has!
